CLEARFIELD – This Friday will mark the third corner concert sponsored by the Market Street Studio and Gallery.

At least $65,000 must be raised to “Save the Ritz Theater” by year’s end. A sign, which tracks the fundraising efforts, is displayed in the front window of the gallery, said Steve Albert, gallery manager.

The concerts are free, and guests are encouraged to purchase T-shirts, theater seat sponsor plaques, snacks and drinks from the Ritz Theater. Also, a jar is available for cash donations.

This week the musical group is “Still Moore,” a three-member group of the Moore family, long known in the Clearfield area. Corner concerts are held every Friday night from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Shaw Park.

Albert said, “If we’re lucky, there might be a special guest appearance, so bring your family, friends and neighbors . . . or ‘you ain’t nothin’ but a hound dog! Thank you, thank you very much!’”
