UNIVERSITY PARK – Penn State Public Media, in partnership with University Police, is casting extras for a training video to be filmed later this month.
Extras are needed primarily to play students; a few faculty roles are also available. The video will be used as part of a program designed to teach students, faculty and staff how to survive in the event of an attack by one or more armed individuals. It will be incorporated as part of an ongoing, University-wide training program.
Filming will take place July 22 to 25 in and outside of the Business Building at the corner of Park Avenue and Shortlidge Road. The majority of extras will be needed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 22-24. Considerations still will be made for those who cannot commit to all three days. Extras also will be needed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 25. There is no financial compensation, but lunch and a light breakfast will be provided. Makeup will be provided depending on the assigned role. All participants must sign a personal release.
For consideration, send photo, name and contact information to Kevin Conaway at klc129@psu.edu or Claire Gysegem at cvg11@psu.edu by Friday, July 12. For more information on Penn State Public Media, visit pspb.org; for more information on Penn State University Police, visit www.police.psu.edu.
