Charles Wesley Brady Sr., 77 of Clearfield died Sunday, July 7, 2013 at the Clearfield Hospital.
Born Feb. 21, 1936 in Mahaffey, he was the son of the late John Wesley and Marie (Young) Brady.
Mr. Brady was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, Clearfield. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
He was employed as a coal miner for many years and then with the Clearfield Borough and Target Sports Wear. He enjoyed baseball and racing, especially watching his children and family at the local dirt race tracks.
Surviving are three sons and a daughter, John A. Brady and his wife, Paula, Charles W. Brady Jr. and his wife, Valerie and David L. Brady, all of Clearfield and Ann Brady of Aberdeen, MD; and nine grandchildren, Ronnie, Marlene, Michael, Jessica, Megan and Daniel Brady and Pat, Ricky and Alysia Lucas.
Also surviving are five great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters, Shirley Howell and Betty Cook, both of Hyde; Donald Brady and his wife, Gloria and Edward Brady and his wife, Doreen, both of Clearfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three children, Duane, Steven and Nancy Brady; a brother, John R. Brady and a sister, Joan C. Brown.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Charles Wesley Brady will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc., 312 E. Locust St., Clearfield, PA 16830, with the Rev. Dr. Duane A. White officiating.
A time to share memories and have an opportunity to view will be held from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 1 p.m. until the time of services Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Thompson Cemetery, Glen Ritchey.
