Detour will be in place
CENTRE COUNTY – Work to remove and replace a railroad crossing on Route 1003 (Curtin Village Road) in Boggs Township will take place Friday through Monday.
Finkbeiner and Associates Inc. is the contractor for the Nittany and Bald Eagle Railroad on this job. Crews will be working to remove the existing railroad-crossing surface and rebuild the structure through the crossing.
There will be an approximately eight-mile detour in place and drivers will use Route 144 (Mill Street), Route 150 (Bald Eagle Valley Road) and Route 1006 (Water Street) to get around the closure. Local drivers may choose to use alternate routes. All work is weather dependent.
PennDOT reminds drivers to follow detour signs, obey posted speed limits and always buckle up.
