- An incident of criminal mischief occurred Wednesday on Arbutus Lane in St. Marys. Someone damaged a mailbox belonging to the victim. The mailbox was valued at $50. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Ridgway-based state police at 814-776-6136.
- An incident of harassment occurred Sunday on Gardner Hill Road in Jay Township. Two males allegedly shoved each other, and the incident remains under investigation at this time.
- No injuries were reported after a three-vehicle accident that occurred Tuesday on State Street in St. Marys. Melissa A. Burchett, 34, of Ridgway and Anthony J. Deprator, 20, of St. Marys were both traveling eastbound. Deprator was ahead of Burchett and slowed for a left-hand turn. As Deprator started to turn, Burchett attempted to slow down, but her brakes locked up, which caused her vehicle to slide forward in a leftward direction. The Burchett vehicle subsequently struck the driver’s side of that operated by Deprator while was turning into a parking lot. The Deprator vehicle sustained major damage to its left-hand side. Burchett’s vehicle continued to force the Deprator vehicle into the rear of another that was legally parked in the lot. This caused major damage to the right, front end of the Deprator vehicle; the parked vehicle sustained minor damage. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts, as was a passenger in the Deprator vehicle. Burchett will be cited for the accident.
