CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. has announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of June 18.

Shaw identified the fugitive as Kristen Marie Woods, 30, of Mitchell Avenue, Big Run. Woods is wanted for her failure to appear at Plea and Sentencing Court on June 4.

On Aug. 31, 2012, Officer Steve Maholtz of the DuBois City Police Department filed a criminal complaint, charging Woods with dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities; criminal use of a communication facility; and criminal conspiracy to commit delivery of a controlled substance.

An affidavit of probable cause filed by Maholtz states that in August of 2012, DuBois City police, the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General, and the Clearfield County Drug Task Force began an investigation into the sale of narcotics from Woods’ residence in Big Run. On Aug. 29, 2012, an undercover agent went inside Woods’ residence and arrangements were made to transport both heroin and crack cocaine to the DuBois area in order to be sold for profit.

After leaving the residence and traveling to DuBois City, a traffic stop occurred, and the vehicle was searched. The search turned up 31 bundles of heroin, two bags of crack cocaine and a .45-caliber handgun. Upon further investigation, it was found that Woods had planned for the large quantities of heroin and crack cocaine to be brought to her residence and sold in the area.

A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Sept. 29, 2012, at which time all charges were held for court. On June 4 Woods failed to appear for Plea and Sentencing Court and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

Woods is described as a Caucasian female who stands 5 feet, 2 inches tall. She has brown eyes and hair.

Anyone with knowledge of Woods’ location is asked to call Clearfield County Crime Stoppers at 800-376-4700. All calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential.
