Obituary Notice: Hale T. Fink

Hale T. Fink, 81 of New Millport died Sunday, June 9, 2013 at his residence. Born Dec. 8, 1931 in Altoona, he was the son of Roy and Anna (Ayle) Fink.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.  He started Fink Transportation Service, where he was co-owner/operator along with his wife, Shirley, for more than 27 years.

He was a member of the Grampian Lions Club, where he was a past president and also a past District Governor of District 14 J.

On July 1, 1955 in Hepburnia, he wed Shirley Pentz, who survives along with three children, Cindy Caldwell and her husband, Tom of Cortland, NY and Randy Fink and his wife, Deb and Brian Fink and his wife, Helen “Bean,” all of New Millport.

Also surviving are grandchildren, Matt DuFour and his wife, Heather, Susan Caldwell, Megan Freeman and her husband, Joe, Brandon Fink, Seth Fink and his wife, Janel, Annie Fink and Holly Fink and two great-grandchildren Jarrett and Kaydence DuFour.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Darlene Knaresboro; a sister, Dorothy Douglas; and a brother, Harold “Buck” Fink.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville, with the Rev. George Solley officiating. Burial will follow in the Friends Cemetery in Grampian.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Clearfield Hospice “Circle of Friends,” 286 Pauline Dr., Clearfield, PA 16830.
