Warren Lee Reid, 68, of Clearfield died Saturday, June 1, 2013. He was born Jan. 16, 1945 in Warrenton, VA, a son of the late Martin Alvin and Annie Rebecca (Fletcher) Reid.

Mr. Reid retired from the city of Vienna, VA, as a maintenance worker. He also retired from the Lee Square Apartments in Falls Church, VA, where he was known as the ‘go to guy’ to help anyone.  He had also been employed at Buckland Farms in Warrenton, VA, where he helped raise thoroughbred racehorses, assisting in raising the horse ‘Pleasant Colony,’ which eventually won the Kentucky Derby.

He was a member of the Curwensville Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #268, the Clearfield Sons of Italy #189 and the Clearfield American Legion Post #6. He was also Protestant by faith.

He is survived by his companion, Tami Lilly of Clearfield; two brothers, Billy Nelson Reid and his wife, Rosalie of Clearfield and James Allen Reid and his wife, Penny of Warrenton, VA; a half-sister, Linda Vian of Sparta, WI; a half-brother, Glen Reid and his wife, Marty of Kennesaw, GA; his former spouse, Joyce Kerns of Warrenton, VA; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Walter Richard Reid.

In accordance to Mr. Reid’s wishes, there will be no public visitation. Memorial services will be held in Virginia at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 26 S. Second St., Clearfield.
