PENFIELD – The state’s Department of Conservation and Natural Resources will be holding one of its Adventure Camps at Parker Dam State Park on July 16-19.
This is a final call for interested youth who are ages 13-15 years. The Parker Dam Adventure Camp will be a four-day, day camp that begins at approximately 9 a.m. and concludes at 3 p.m. each day.
It will expose youth to a variety of outdoor recreations and to the recreational opportunities that are available at state parks and other public lands. Youth will participate in kayaking, fishing, hiking, geocaching and a number of other activities, which are all guided by experienced park staff.
The camp is offered for free to the youth.
The park still has openings available for this camp. Please call 814-765-0630 as soon as possible, if your child is interested.
