CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. has announced the capture of a wanted fugitive.

Shaw identified the fugitive as Timothy A. Henry, 34, of Florence Street, Philipsburg. Henry was added to the Clearfield County Fugitive of the Week list on Feb. 19.

On March 6, 2012, Sergeant Greg Neeper of the Clearfield Borough Police Department filed a criminal complaint, charging Henry with forgery, theft from a motor vehicle and receiving stolen property.

An affidavit of probable cause filed by Neeper states that in February of 2012, the Clearfield Borough Police Department received a report about a theft. Upon investigation it was found that Henry had stolen a check from the victim’s vehicle. Henry then forged the victim’s signature on the check and cashed it in the amount of $100.

A preliminary hearing was held May 16, 2012, at which time all charges were held to court.

In a separate case, Lieutenant Todd Lombardo of the Morris-Cooper Regional Police Department filed a criminal complaint on May 10, 2012, charging Henry with forgery, theft by unlawful taking, theft by deception, receiving stolen property and bad checks.

An affidavit of probable cause filed by Lombardo states that in March of 2012, the Morris-Cooper Regional Police Department began an investigation into the theft of a checkbook from a residence in Allport. Upon further investigation it was found that Henry had possession of the stolen checkbook. Additionally, Henry forged the victim’s signature on a check and issued the check in the amount of $420.51.

A preliminary hearing was held May 16, 2012, at which time all charges were held to court.

In a separate case, Lombardo filed a criminal complaint on May 1, 2012, charging Henry with forgery and bad checks.

An affidavit of probable cause filed by Lombardo states that in April of 2012, the Morris-Cooper Regional Police Department began an investigation into the theft and unlawful use of checks. Upon further investigation it was found that Henry had forged the victim’s signature on a check and issued the check in the amount of $355.92.

A preliminary hearing was held May 16, 2012, at which time all charges were held to court.

In a separate case, Lombardo filed a criminal complaint on May 16, 2012, charging Henry with forgery, theft by deception, receiving stolen property and bad checks.

An affidavit of probable cause filed by Lombardo states that in May of 2012, the Morris-Cooper Regional Police Department began an investigation into the theft of a checkbook from a residence in Allport. Upon further investigation it was found that Henry had unlawfully taken the checkbook. Additionally, Henry forged the victim’s signature on a check and issued the check in the amount of $210.85.

A preliminary hearing was held June 6, 2012, at which time all charges were held to court.

In a separate case, Trooper Mary McGinnis of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield barracks, filed a criminal complaint on June 6, 2012, charging Henry with theft by deception, theft by unlawful taking and bad checks.

An affidavit of probable cause filed by McGinnis states that in May of 2012, the Pennsylvania State Police began an investigation into the theft and unlawful use of checks. Upon further investigation it was found that Henry unlawfully issued two checks in the amount of $323.81 and $128.56.

A preliminary hearing was held June 6, 2012, at which time all charges were held to court.

On Nov. 5, 2012, Henry failed to appear for all five cases for plea and sentencing court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Shaw stated that the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office used advanced technologies to locate Henry at a residence on Howard Avenue in Schuylkill. On May 13, deputies from the Schuylkill County Sheriff’s Office and officers from the Schuylkill City Police Department apprehended Henry, and he was taken into custody without incident.

Shaw thanked the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office for their diligence and hard work with this case. Shaw also thanked the Schuylkill County Sheriff’s Office and Schuylkill City Police Department for their assistance in this matter.
