Obituary Notice: Paul A. Albert

Paul A. Albert, 92, of West Decatur died Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at his daughter’s residence with whom he resided.

Born Nov. 30, 1920 in Wallaceton, he was the son of the late Roy J. and Vada (McQuillen) Albert. On Aug. 30, 1947 in Baltimore, MD, he married Ruth Mae (Loechel) Albert, who died March 8, 1991.

He is survived by two daughters, Joyce English and her husband, LeMoyne and Paula Kyler and her husband, Daniel,all of West Decatur and one son, Duane Albert of Hershey.

Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Bobby, Billy, Mike, Matthew, Brandon, Brittany and Becca and seven great-grandchildren.

He was the last of his generation.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Evelyn James, Elizabeth Ogden, Elaine Peters and Margaret McClusick and three brothers, Ray Albert, Glen Albert and Jack Albert.

He attended Calvary United Methodist Church, West Decatur. He was a mason and had worked in the surrounding communities and State College area.

He was a member of the Conservation Corps Camps. He loved playing the guitar and making music with his family. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing games.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Friday at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St., Philipsburg, with the Rev. Brenda K. Leigey officiating. Burial will be in Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.

Friends will be received from 9 a.m. until the hour of services Friday at the funeral home.
