The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal and the Fox Township Fire Department investigated the origin and cause of the fire. The fire destroyed a 12-foot by 28-foot, wooden-framed shed and a 28-foot by 30-foot, wooden framed garage.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation; however, there aren’t any suspicious circumstances. Damage is estimated at $100,000, state police said.
Approximately 550 small pheasants were being raised in the shed in preparation for a youth hunting program sponsored by the Fox Township Sportsmen’s Club. All of the birds perished in the fire, state police said.
The Horton Township Fire Department assisted at the scene.
