Five Injured in Union Twp. Accident

UNION TOWNSHIP – Five people were injured in a two-vehicle accident Wednesday on U.S. Route 322 just east of Spruce Hill Road in Union Township, reported the DuBois-based state police.

A Chevrolet Blazer was parked on the south side of U.S. Route 322, facing east when a Jeep Liberty was traveling eastbound. The operator of the Blazer negotiated a left-hand turn, at which point the Jeep struck its driver’s side.

Four people were in the Blazer; one person was in the Jeep. They were all transported to the DuBois Regional Medical Center, state police said. State police aren’t releasing any names at this time.

The investigation is continuing into the accident. State police were assisted by the Rockton, Brady Township, Oklahoma, Adrian and Lawrence Township fire departments and Brady Township, DuBois, DuSan and Clearfield emergency medical services.
