Volunteers Welcome to Downtown Beautification Day

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Borough Operations Manager Leslie Stott reported at Thursday night’s council meeting that there are currently 100 volunteers signed up to help with Downtown Beautification Day on May 18. Volunteers include the Clearfield Middle School Student Council, she noted.

The event begins at 10 a.m. Participants will be planting flowers, cleaning tree boxes, hanging American flags and lighted decorations, and other tasks to help beautify downtown Clearfield.

Stott said more volunteers are welcomed. “Even if you can’t help,” she remarked, “at least stop and thank those that are.”

Council members also encourage local participation in the State College Spikes “Clearfield County Night” on Aug. 18. Game time is at 6:05 p.m. Forms for tickets are available at the Borough Administration Office.
