Virginia Leora (Powell) Taylor of Smithmill died Thursday, May 16, 2013. Born April 6, 1915 in Rosebud, she was the daughter of John Worth Powell and Hannah Lula (Landis) Powell.
On Oct. 19, 1939, she wed William Russell Taylor in Bedford.
She is survived by her daughter, Hazel Jean Taylor Karst and her husband, Allen Wayne Karst, their son, Adam Taylor Karst and his wife, Kathleen Elizabeth and three great-grandchildren, Ian Taylor Karst, Seth Patrick Karst and Cameron Jacob Karst; and her daughter, Bettilou Taylor and her husband, Domenic Ruscio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Russell Taylor (1980); her mother (1961); her father (1969); her sister, Hazel June Powell Lynn (1966); and her brothers, Charles Edward Powell (1977), Denzil Gerard Powell (1984), Jack Landis Powell (1986), Justine Jay Powell (2006); and her nephews, James Turnbull Powell and John (Jack) William Powell.
Funeral services will be private.
