Anna Mae Michaels, 86, of the Mountain Laurel Nursing and RehabilitationCenter in Clearfield, and formerly of Curwensville, died Friday, May 17, 2013 at the ClearfieldHospital.
Born Nov. 30, 1926 in Bells Landing, she was the daughter of John and Josephine (Smith) Anderson. Mrs. Michaels had been employed as a trimmer for Kent Sportswear and was affiliated with the FaithBibleChurch in LumberCity.
On Sept. 2, 1946, she wed George William Michaels, who preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 1967.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, George William Michaels Jr., four sisters, Sara Viola Passmore, Kathryn Anderson, Lula Belle Grove and Violet Ramser and three brothers, Cecil, Elsworth and Edward Anderson. She was the last member of her generation.
Surviving are two daughters, Shirley Ann Summers and her husband, Peter and Nancy Jane Royer and her husband, Daniel, both of Clearfield; five grandchildren, Tammy Sunderland and her husband, Dave, Peter William Summers, Melissa Farmery and her husband, Dan, Daniel Royer Jr. and his wife, Amy and Brian Royer and his companion, Stacy; and nine great-grandchildren, Keith Barrett, Jayce Sunderland, Danielle Royer, Christopher Verbeck, Nicole Beish, Daniel Royer III, Dana Royer, Dravon Royer and Daevon Royer.
Services for Mrs. Michaels will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville, with the Rev. Scott Schultz officiating. Burial will be in the OldZionCemetery, Berwinsdale.
Friends will be received from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Monday and again from 12 p.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
