WJAC-TV: One Arrested after Suspect Meth Lab Found in DuBois

6-story-graphicDUBOIS – A tip from a parole officer led police to a DuBois residence, where they found suspected methamphetamine, as well as the ingredients and equipment used to produce the drug.

Steven Sunealitis of DuBois was arrested in connection with the raid. As of Tuesday, Sunealitis remained in jail on a parole violation.

Officials said while conducting a routine check, Sunealitis’ parole officer found suspected methamphetamine at his residence located on South Main Street, DuBois.

After police received the tip, they served a search warrant at Sunealitis’ residence.

Authorities told WJAC-TV News that they believe Sunealitis was operating a methamphetamine lab and found the finished product, equipment and ingredients inside the residence to produce the drug.

Late Monday night, a clandestine unit was called to the scene to search and secure the residence. The unit also searched a car, the back yard and a detached garage.

The district attorney said officials are awaiting lab results to determine if the evidence tests positive as methamphetamine.

If the results are positive, officials said this is not the first time Sunealitis has been charged with crimes that involves methamphetamine
