Police would like to remind residents not to provide any personal, insurance or financial information to anyone under these or similar circumstances.

- Police responded to a vehicle accident and damage to unattended property in the Hyde area. Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 1994/1995 Ford Crown Victoria with frontend damage. It reportedly struck a fence on Lawrence Avenue and caused damage and then fled the scene.

- A Beagle was reportedly running loose along state Route 879. The dog was located and placed at the local SPCA.

- Children were reportedly left unattended in a vehicle at the Wal-MartSupercenter. Police arrived and didn’t locate any children in the vehicle.
- A suspicious/disabled vehicle was reported on U.S. Route 322/Route 153. Police determined it was located in PineTownship.

- A stolen Jeep was recovered by police. It had been stolen from the DuBois/Brockway area. The Jeep was turned over to the DuBois-based state police.
- Police are investigating an incident of indecent exposure and open lewdness. The suspect’s identity is known by police.
- Police were contacted about a possible crime; however, the incident was civil in nature. The caller was advised of the proper procedures for handling civil issues.
- An incident of theft occurred at the R-Bar during which a known person stole items from a patron’s purse. The items were recovered by police, and the victim hasn’t decided on whether or not to have charges filed.
- Police are investigating an attempted burglary that occurred in the O’Shanter area. Police have a person of interest.
- A domestic dispute occurred at the Lawrence Park Villages Apartment Complex. The incident was handled at the scene. Both persons were advised that any further disturbance would result in an arrest of one or both of them.

- Police responded to a Kerr Addition residence after receiving a 911 hang-up call. The resident had accidentally dialed 911 while attempting to make a call.
