Margaret Angeline Rose 78, of Curwensville died Friday, May 10, 2013 in Curwensville. Born Nov. 22, 1934 in Mineral Springs, she was the daughter of Samuel and Frances Margaret (Chiodo) Lombardo.  

She was a homemaker. She was previously employed at Marjac, Sheer Tex and Superior Pet Company. 

She was a member of St. Timothy’s Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville, where she was a member of and served as past president of the Altar and Rosary Society.

On Oct. 23, 1954 in Clearfield, she wed Robert Rose, who survives, along with four children, Robert “Bob” A. Rose and his wife, Jean of Kermoor, John T. Rose and his wife, Doris of Westover, David L. Rose of Curwensville and Mary F. Rose and her companion, Irving Cruz of Somerset.

Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Vickie Rose-Conner, Bobbie Jean Reitz, Shawn Rose, Mark Rose, Christinia  (Rose) Long, Heather  Rose-Deal, Noah Rose and Mia  Rose, 12 great-grandchildren, Gavin, Brady, Alex, Allison, Miranda, Lindsay,  Logan, Josiah, Lukas, Avery, David and Logan and sisters, Elizabeth “Betsey” Sabol of Clearfield and Nellie Halford and her husband, Rod of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a great-granddaughter, Aubriannah Conner; and siblings, Mrs. Arthur (Jennie) Miller, Miss Rosalie “Mary” Lombardo, James Lombardo, Joseph Lombardo, Charles Lombardo Sr., Samuel Lombardo, Guy Lombardo, Sylvester Lombardo and five infant siblings.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville with the Rev. Father Mark J. Mastrian as celebrant. Burial will be held at the CalvaryCemetery.

Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.   The Rosary will be recited by members of the St. Timothy Altar and Rosary Society at 6 p.m. and a Scripture Vigil Service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church Altar and Rosary Society, 306 Walnut St., Curwensville, PA 16833.
