Daniel Lynn Dillen, 26, 1076 Glendale Valley Blvd., Fallentimber, an inmate of the jail, pleaded guilty in five cases to burglary, in a sixth case to burglary and theft and in an additional case to theft and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was sentenced to 18 months to five years in state prison in each case, but the sentences will run concurrent with each other. He was fined $17 plus costs and must pay restitution of more than $3,800.
The burglaries occurred between Dec. 13, 2011 and Jan. 6, 2012 in Houtzdale, Coalport, ChestTownship and BeccariaTownship. The investigation began after police received an anonymous phone call stating that Dillen, Bruce Lansberry and Jamie McClellan had been stealing things from the Coalport area.
According to the affidavits, on Dec. 13, 2011 Dillen and Lansberry traveled to Smoke Run where they parked at a store and walked to a nearby residence. They removed a motorcycle from the driveway and pushed it to Dillen’s truck.
Sometime between Dec. 19 and Dec. 22, 2011, Dillen, McClellan, Aaron Breeden, and Lansberry traveled to a storage shed in BeccariaTownship where Lansberry cut a padlock and they entered the unit. They removed two generators and a meter.
Sometime between Dec. 24 and Dec. 25, 2011, Dillen, McClellan, Lansberry and Breeden went to Car Quest Auto Parts store in Houtzdale. Lansberry broke a window and the three males entered the business. Breeden removed a cash register containing $300.
Between Dec. 25 and Dec. 26, Dillen, McClellan and Breeden broke into the Glendale Sportsman’s Club in BeccariaTownship. Breeden accessed the building by prying open a door. Dillen and Breeden then removed a compound bow, another bow and arrows, a nail gun, screw gun, a grinder, a microwave, a refrigerator, some food and $20 in cash.
Between Jan. 1 and Jan. 2, 2012, Dillen, McClellan and Lansberry broke into a camp in ChestTownship. Dillen and Lansberry removed a bow and accessories, binoculars, three trail cameras, camera cars and a spotlight. They also took a generator.
Sometime between Jan. 5 and Jan. 6, 2012, Dillen, McClellan and Kevin McGary entered the Rydbom’s service station in Coalport by smashing a window. McGary removed cigarettes, inspection stickers and prescription medications.
On Jan. 6, 2012 Dillen, McClellan and McGary, parked a truck near the Janesville Dam and then walked to the Royal Oak Tavern where they entered through a back door. McGary removed a cash register and cash.
All of the defendants involved with these cases pleaded guilty and have been sentenced.
- Richard Aaron Breeden, 19, PO Box 468, Coalport, was sentenced to 60 days to one year in jail and four years consecutive probation in September.
- McClellan, 32, Glasgow, was sentenced to a total of one to two years in state prison in October.
- Lansberry, 28, Coalport, was sentenced to six months to one year in jail and two years consecutive probation in January.
- McGary, 25, 334 Main St., Greenville, was sentenced to eight months to two years less one day in jail and three years consecutive probation in January.
