- Rent A Center employees reported Wednesday that a 22-year-old DuBois man contracted with them to rent an X-Box, a 40-inch television and an LG surround sound stereo system. When the contract expired, the man did not return or attempt to pay for the items. Charges have been filed.
- Police stopped a 21-year-old DuBois man who was observed driving at a very high rate of speed Wednesday over the BradyStreetBridge. After failing field sobriety testing, the man was taken for a legal blood draw. But due to his belligerent attitude toward police and staff, he was transported to the Clearfield County Jail on a 48-hour detainer. Charges are currently pending.
- A 42-year-old Overdorf Avenue woman reported Wednesday that her estranged 32-year-old husband kicked in the front door and after yelling at her, left in her car. Police handled the situation without incident.
- On Wednesday, a Mountain Run Road resident reported a neighbor was shooting off fireworks.
- TJ Maxx employees reported Thursday that they had discovered one of the contracted cleaning crew was stealing purses. When the 25-year-old Ollie Lane man was confronted by an employee about the thefts, he confessed and then fled the scene. Police chased him through the undeveloped area behind the Commons, and he was apprehended as he reached McCracken Run Road. He was taken to the CCJ for his arraignment.
- A 22-year-old DuBois man reported Thursday that while he was working at McDonalds, he witnessed a known 18-year-old Brockway man get into his vehicle without permission. When he went to his vehicle, he found cash missing from the center console and the windshield was cracked. The investigation is continuing.
- A 34-year-old TreasureLake man reported Thursday that someone damaged the ignition in his vehicle while it was parked in his driveway.
