The Animal Welfare Council received 82 entries for their “Be Kind to Animals” T-shirt design contest for youth aged 6-17 years.
The AWC is currently celebrating “Be Kind to Animals” week May 5-11; however, it hopes everyone supports being kind to animals throughout the year.
The AWC received entries from youth who are attending the Clearfield Area High School, the Curwensville Area School District, the Osceola Mills and West Branch Elementary Schools, as well as others. Three winners will be chosen by staff and volunteers of the AWC/Allegheny Spay and Neuter Clinic.
The public is invited to view the entries during the month of May in the reception area of the Allegheny Spay and Neuter Clinic, located at 1380 Shawville Hwy., Woodland, PA 16881. The clinic is currently open from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
