- A vehicle driven by a 61-year-old Big Run man slipped out of gear while it was in the Kwik Fill parking lot on Friday. As a result, it rolled out of the lot toward the intersection of Lincoln Drive and Brady Street. A vehicle driven by a Lincoln Drive man was struck by the moving vehicle, before it traveled across Brady Street and over an embankment. No injuries and minor damage were reported.
- A Bush Court woman reported Friday that someone entered her unlocked garage and took several items including cash and CDs out of her vehicle. The investigation is continuing.
- A Treasure Lake man reported Friday that the license plate from his boat trailer was missing.
- On Friday PennDOT employees reported they’d found a white Cutless on its roof on Number 2 Shaft Road. There wasn’t anyone around the vehicle, and the owner was eventually located. She denied knowing what had happened to her vehicle and believed her ex-boyfriend, a 28-year-old Verona man may have taken and wrecked it. The investigation is continuing.
- Officers investigated a report of a yellow all-terrain vehicle being driven on the road in the area of Highland Street Extension and Cain Road on Friday. The ATV was gone upon officers arrival.
- On Friday a school bus backed into a driveway on West Liberty Road to turn around when it hit a vehicle sitting in the driveway. No injuries and minor damage were reported.
- A 52-year-old DuBois woman reported she’d lost her wallet while shopping at Wal-Mart on Friday. The wallet was later turned into Wal-Mart employees, but the cash and a credit card were missing. The investigation is continuing.
- A 24-year-old Tozier Avenue man reported Saturday that a known 26-year-old DuBois woman kicked in the door of the residence and began fighting with him. The woman was gone upon officers arrival.
- Lowe’s employees reported Saturday that an African American male was stopped as he was attempting to leave the store with a cart load of items that he had not paid for. The man then left without the items. Employees were able to obtain a registration from the vehicle he was seen leaving in. The investigation is continuing at this time.
- A Wilson Avenue resident reported Saturday that someone had fraudulently used her bank card on three, separate occasions for a total of $518.
- A false alarm occurred at Stoltz on Saturday.
- Officers received a report of ATVs that were being driven on Greenwood Cemetery Road on Saturday. The ATVs were gone upon officers arrival.
- A 26-year-old DuBois man was taken to Altoona by helicopter for injuries he sustained during a fight at Friendly Tavern on Saturday. The alleged suspect was located at the Brady Street Sheetz and taken into custody. After being taken to the DuBois Regional Medical Center for a legal blood draw, he was placed in the Clearfield County Jail on a 48-hour detainer. The investigation is continuing.
- A Dixon Avenue resident reported Sunday that she thought someone was trying to break into her house. Upon arrival officers could neither locate anyone near the residence nor any sign of activity.
- A 41-year-old Dixon Avenue woman reported Sunday that her ex-roommate broke into her residence and was taking things. Upon arrival officers spoke to both women and handled the situation without incident.
- A 61-year-old Abby Road man reported Sunday that he was assaulted by his neighbor. He reported that he got out of his vehicle to confront the 47-year-old man who had yelled at him as he was driving past his house. The altercation became physical when the 47-year-old man shoved the 61-year-old man. The situation was handled without incident.
- Two, 12-year-old boys were playing catch in their Brady Street yards when one got mad at the other for throwing the ball at him too hard and hitting him in the arm. The dispute escalated when one of the boys picked up a shovel and then a Swiss army knife. The parents became involved and police were called to handle the incident.
- On Sunday a 45-year-old Treasure Lake man reported his estranged 27-year-old girlfriend threatened to harm herself after their breakup. Officers checked on the woman who denied the threats and reported she was just mad over the breakup.
