Franklin Allen Dolan, of Hyde died Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at his residence. Born Sept. 5, 1936 in Walker Township, Centre County, he was the son of Harold E. and Ethel (Wolfe) Dolan.
Mr. Dolan had been employed by Cerro Brass and Metal in Bellefonte for 37.5 years. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and was a former member of the Howard American Legion, the Bellefonte L.O.O.M. and the Clearfield Eagles.
On Dec. 18, 1993 in Bellefonte, he wed the former Mona Lee Malinky, who survives along with two children and two step-children, Karen Dolan and Todd Dolan, both of Howard, Gerald Flick of Hyde and Ramona Flick of Mineral Springs.
Also surviving are four grandchildren, Gracie Smith, Brandy Carfley and Lynn and Jeff Smith and two brothers, Russell Dolan and Neven Dolan and his wife, Chris, both of Howard.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
At the request of Mr. Dolan, there will be no public visitation and private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
