Eleanor R. Lansberry, 91, of Morrisdale died Thursday, March 2, 2013 at the Ridgeview Elder Care Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.
Born Sept. 12, 1912 in Graham Township, she was the daughter of the late Earl M. and Lettie M. Wisor Williams. She was a member of the Summit Hill United Methodist Church, Morrisdale.
She had been employed at McGregor and Clear Don of Philipsburg and Center Clothes and Viceroy Mfg. of Osceola Mills. She retired from Kent’s Sportswear of Curwensville.
She was married to Harold V. Lansberry on Jan. 28, 1939. He preceded her in death Aug. 30, 2007.
She’s survived by a daughter, Josephine R. Viard and her husband, Charles of Curwensville and a son, Harold E. Lansberry and his wife, Edith of Morrisdale.
Also surviving are two sisters, Irene Smeal of Philipsburg and Donna Dinant of New Castle; four grandchildren, Sherry M. Emigh of Philipsburg, Timothy H. Lansberry of Kerrmore and Jeffery L. Lansberry and his wife, Lori and Calvin Walls, both of Clearfield and Rhonda L. Smith of Curwensville; and numerous great-grandchildren; and great great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Ann Walls, a grandson, Ricky Alan Viard, two infant grandsons, a sister, Mabel Miller and brothers, Henry, Ottis, William, Junior and James.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Monday at the Chapel of the Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale with the Pastor Tina Hawkins officiating. Burial will be in the Summit Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, Morrisdale.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the time of services Monday at the funeral home.
