Man Charged with Burglarizing Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy

DUBOIS – A 31-year-old Treasure Lake man, Justin B. Smith, has been accused of burglarizing the Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy on West Park Avenue in DuBois, according to the DuBois City Police Department.

According to the report, at approximately 4:13 a.m. Friday, police responded to a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, police discovered the glass had been broken out of the front doors. Smith was still inside the Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy.

Smith was taken into custody and identified by police. He was allegedly attempting to flee with approximately 9,000 pills valued at $22,000.

Smith was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief. He was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Patrick Ford. Smith is incarcerated at the Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
