Fire Marshal Investigates Jones Twp. Fire

fire breaking news graphicJONES TOWNSHIP – A fire destroyed a seasonal dwelling after igniting at 8:24 p.m. Sunday in the Straight Creek area in Jones Township, according to the state police at Ridgway.

The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal and the Wilcox Fire Department investigated the origin and cause of the fire. The fire destroyed a 25-foot by 32-foot, single-story seasonal dwelling.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Damage was estimated at $15,000, state police said. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.

The Clermont and Johnsonburg fire departments assisted at the scene.
