Minor injuries occurred Wednesday after a single-vehicle accident on Main Street in Coalport Borough. Will L. Sweed, 42, of Coalport was traveling northbound and swerved to avoid hitting a dog in the street. His vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a utility pole. The pole was snapped off its base as a result. Sweed had a minor cut to his forehead; he was wearing his seatbelt. He’ll be cited for the accident through the district court.
