No injuries were reported after a two-vehicle accident that occurred Friday on Presqueisle Street in Philipsburg Borough. Phoebe G. Berry, 19, of Philipsburg was entering the intersection of Presqueisle and Second streets from the latter street. She had stopped and proceeded into the intersection and into the path of a vehicle driven by Ralph W. Phillips, 51, of Osceola Mills. Phillips attempted to avoid Berry’s vehicle but was unable to do so. After impact, Berry’s vehicle traveled onto the sidewalk in front of CNB Bank. The Phillips vehicle came to a rest in the roadway. Both Berry and Phillips were wearing their seatbelts. Berry will be cited for a stop sign violation for proceeding into the intersection without yielding to oncoming traffic.
