Thomas Lee Wrye, 43, of Philipsburg died Sunday, April 14, 2013 at his residence. He was the son of Robert L. Sr. and Sarah L. (Cowfer) Wrye, who survive of Philipsburg. He was born July 22, 1969.
Mr. Wrye was a member of the Philadelphia Society of the Lord’s New Church. He was an extremely talented artist, writer and musician. He was also a computer enthusiast and an active gamer.
He was a member of the Philipsburg-Osceola Area High School class of 1987 and attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.
Mr. Wrye was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dave and Mary (Lee) Cowfer and his paternal grandparents, Layne and Catherine (Booth) Wrye.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three sisters, Beth Wrye Dunlap and her husband, Timothy and Mary Wrye Slogosky and her husband, Bob, all of Philipsburg and Sarah Wrye Pantall and her husband, Brad of State College; a brother, Robert L. Wrye Jr. and his wife, Pam of Madera; and 11 nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home in Philipsburg. Burial will be at the Philipsburg Cemetery in Philipsburg.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
