- Wal-Mart employees reported Friday that they had an 18-year-old Reynoldsville man in custody after he was observed attempting to take a phone charger without paying for it. The man is also the suspect in previous incidents for retail theft at Wal-Mart.
- A false alarm occurred Friday at Staples.
- Officers investigated 911 hang-up calls from a Treasure Lake residence on Friday. The calls were accidental and made by a child playing with the phone.
- On Friday, an 81-year-old South Main Street man reported he’d received a letter from an unknown company about winning a lottery that he had not entered. The letter requested that he complete a brief form and send $20 to the company in order to receive his $1,800,000. Police said this letter is fraudulent as are any similar correspondences that request money and or personal. These correspondences should be discarded.
- On Friday, Wal-Mart employees reported a theft that occurred on March 22 by a male with several tattoos who took a tattoo removal kit valued at $39.97. The investigation is continuing.
- On Friday, Pilot employees reported an African-American male who was causing problems in the store after he discovered his girlfriend did not receive a Western Union transfer he’d sent. The situation was handled without incident.
- A vehicle driven by an 18-year-old Sykesville man was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by a 23-year-old Falls Creek man while he was stopped in traffic in front of Long John Silvers. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were driven from the scene.
- A 44-year-old Wilmington, DE man lost control of his motorcycle Saturday while exiting Interstate 80 at state Route 255. He was involved with an accident and injured his leg. He was taken to the DuBois Regional Medical Center for treatment.
- A 16-year-old girl left her Greenwood Cemetery Road residence after a fight with her parents on Saturday. Officers located the girl and returned her home. The situation was handled without incident.
- A Treasure Lake resident turned in a collie-type dog on Saturday. It was found near Port Antonia Court and Desirade Road in Treasure Lake.
- A set of keys was found near the railroad tracks Saturday behind Christ Lutheran Church.
- Officers received reports of multiple homes being egged Sunday in Treasure Lake.
- On Sunday, a Treasure Lake man reported he’d observed three males who were dressed in dark clothing and lurking around outside his house. When he went out to confront them, they ran away.
- On Sunday, a 25-year-old Shaffer Road man reported that his 25-year-old roommate was upset and trying to break things in the house. Officers arrived on scene and handled the situation without incident.
- A Greenwood Road man reported Sunday that someone had come onto his property and removed bricks from a pile, built a fire ring and started a fire without permission. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
