Idabell D. Campbell, 89, of DuBois and formerly of Highview Village died Friday, April 12, 2013 at the Christ the King Manor, DuBois. She was born Sept. 17, 1923 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Leroy and Glenolen (Patterson) Fink.
A graduate of Clearfield High School, Mrs. Campbell retired from Sears after 23 years of service. During World War II, she worked five years for the entertainment division of the U.S. Government.
She was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, and the Rosary and Altar Society of the church, a charter member of the Keystone Travel Trailer Club and the National Camper and Hiker Association. She was very active at Christ the King Manor and served as the secretary of the Residents Council.
She is survived by three daughters, Suzanne Rumfola and her husband, Charles Jr. of Clearfield and Connie Wetzel and her husband, Bill Sr. and Linda Curry and her husband, Lex Jr., all of Curwensville; six grandchildren, Ian Curry, Tenley Barrett, Sam Rumfola, Becky Schwartz and Bill and Bryan Wetzel; seven great-grandchildren, Alicen Schwartz, Sydney and Summer Rumfola, Mark Ifversen, Wyatt and Cole Wetzel, and Lexi Barrett; a sister, Jane Jacqueline ‘Jackie’ Fowler of Clearfield; and a sister-in-law, Margaret ‘Sis’ Bloom of Grampian.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward E. Campbell on June 9, 2011 and whom she wed May 31, 1946 in Clearfield. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Floda Shirey and a brother, Robert Fink.
Mass of Christian burial will be said at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield. A Christian Vigil service will be held at 1:45 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Christ the King Manor, 1100 W. Long Ave., DuBois, PA 15801.
