BECCARIA TOWNSHIP – No injuries were reported after a single-vehicle accident Tuesday on Glen Hope Boulevard in Beccaria Township, according to the Clearfield-based state police.
Joseph P. Pandolfi, 46, of Punxsutawney was traveling southbound when he came upon a PennDOT work crew. The work crew was street cleaning the southbound lane.
Pandolfi failed to observe a PennDOT vehicle with hazard lights activated. As a result, his vehicle traveled approximately 222 feet across both lanes and exited the east shoulder of Glen Hope Boulevard, where it overturned onto its roof.
Pandolfi was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident. He’ll be cited for the accident through the district court.
State police were assisted at the scene by the Irvona Volunteer Fire Company, PennDOT, Irvona Emergency Medical Services and towing services.
