DUBOIS – Luigi’s Ristorante will host a “Dining for a Cause” for the DuBois Area Historical Society from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. April 14.
Luigi’s will provide a percentage of the day’s profits to the DuBois Area Historical Society. Members of the DuBois Area Historical Society will be at the restaurant throughout the day to provide information about the organization. All are invited to help support a local organization.
Upcoming historical society activities include:
- April 16, Guest speaker, Galen Kilmer, DuBois Area High School Local History Projects, E. D. Reitz Museum, 28-34 W. Long Ave., DuBois, 7 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
- May 18, Fifth Annual Spring Walk, Helvetia, led by Bill Allenbaugh, 10 a.m. Meet at the old company store. It’s free and open to the public.
- September, Annual Dinner, date, time, menu, cost to be announced. Guest speaker will Paul Sekula, “Historical Signs.”
- Oct. 12, Sixth Annual Spirit of DuBois Lantern Walk, 125th Anniversary of the Great Fire of 1888, leaving from the E. D. Reitz Museum, 28-34 W. Long Ave., 5:30 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students, with children sixth grade and younger free if accompanied by an adult.
