CLEARFIELD – A 24-year-old Woodbury man was flown to the Altoona Trauma Center after being involved in a motorcycle accident Monday on Bigler Avenue in Clearfield.
According to police, the man was traveling at a high rate of speed and lost control of his motorcycle while negotiating a turn in the roadway. As a result, his motorcycle crossed the westbound lane and struck the guardrails. Police said the man was ejected from the motorcycle. He struck a directional sign. He was transported to the Clearfield Airport by ambulance; from there he was flown to Altoona.
Police were assisted by the Clearfield Fire Department and towing services.
