Police: Man Tried to Lure Boy into Van

DUBOIS – DuBois City police have initiated an investigation into an incident where a male allegedly attempted to lure a young boy into a van.

An 11-year-old boy told police he was walking Saturday on Juniata Street. He said a white cargo-style van pulled up beside him that neither had any windows nor any visible markings.

The boy told police there was an older Caucasian male who had a thin, black beard inside the van. He said the male who was wearing a black ball cap and sunglasses told him to get in and help him find his lost dog.

The boy, however, ran home and reported the incident to his father, police said.
