Police Report: Clearfield PSP

A DUI-related accident occurred at approximately 1:45 a.m. Thursday along state Route 53 in Beccaria Township.  A 23-year-old Fallentimber woman was traveling north when she lost control of her vehicle. It traveled off the west shoulder and struck a residence; after impact, it continued north and overturned several times. The woman’s vehicle came to a rest on its wheels.

Through speaking with the woman, state police determined she had been consuming alcohol, and she was too intoxicated to perform any standardized field sobriety tests. The woman was placed under arrest for suspected DUI and transported to the Clearfield-based state police for a legal breath sample. Upon completion of the breath test, it revealed the woman had a blood alcohol content of .21 percent.  DUI and related charges are currently pending against the woman through the district court in Houtzdale.

Both passengers were transported to the Altoona Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. State police were assisted by the Glendale Volunteer Fire Company, Glendale Ambulance and towing services.
