Gala A. Kephart, 68, of Woodland died Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield. She was born Dec. 12, 1944 in Clearfield, the daughter of Lyle A. and Ruth S. (Harrier) Miller.
She served as an EMT with Clearfield and Philipsburg Emergency Medical Services and the Bigler-Jackson-Woodland Fire Company. She was a member of the Shiloh United Methodist Church.
She’s survived by two sons, Cory D. Kephart and his wife, Jennifer of Sanford, FL and Lance T. Kephart and his wife, Sherry L. of Woodland, six grandchildren, Austin J. Kephart, Ashley E. Kephart, Wesley L. Kephart, Kyler S. Kephart, Cole M. Kephart, Jace T. Kephart and a brother, Chauncey L. Miller and his wife, Violet of Bigler.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband A. Dale “Clipper” Kephart, whom she married April 25, 1964, an infant daughter, Judith Ann and a grandson, Mason Tyler Kephart.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Monday at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc., with the Rev. Dr. Duane White officiating. Burial will be in the Shiloh Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 3 p.m. until the hour of services Monday at the funeral home.
