Nikki D. Caldwell, 28, of Curwensville died Friday, March 22, 2013 at her home. She was born March 5, 1985 in Clearfield, a daughter of Mark Caldwell of Curwensville and Diane (Farrell) Cathcart of Glen Richey.

She cherished the time she spent raising her son, Reagan. She also loved animals, especially working with horses. It is this love that led to her education at Meredith Manor Equine College for one year before three years at Johnson College, Scranton for training to be a veterinarian technician. She graduated from the Curwensville High School in 2003. She was very artistic and had a talent for drawing.

She is survived by her father, Mark Caldwell and his wife, Gloria; her mother, Diane Cathcart and her husband, Harry; her fiancé, Kurt Sharpless of Curwensville; and a son, Reagan Rhone Sharpless.

Also surviving are paternal grandparents, Keith and Louise Caldwell of Curwensville; five brothers and two sisters, Beau T. Caldwell and his wife, Carol of DuBois, Brandon W. Cathcart of Olanta, Jared T. Caldwell and his wife, Kristen of Glen Richey, Andy Vezza, Josh Vezza, Donna M. Clamp, all of Grampian and Tina L. Martell of Curwensville.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Joe and Thelma Farrell.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church, Clearfield, with the Rev. Robert Achey officiating.
