Amelia R. Imbruglia, 89, of Clearfield died Sunday, March 24, 2013 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield. She was born June 14, 1923, a daughter of the late Peter and Domenica (Martin) Lischerelli.
Mrs. Imbruglia worked at the former Clearfield Cheese Plant and the former Quaker Market. She later was employed as a nurse’s aide at the Clearfield Hospital.
She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, and the Rosary and Altar Society. She was a former member of the Martha Washington Lodge #1525, Clearfield.
She is survived by two sons, Frank A. Imbruglia II and his wife, Melanie of Texas and Roger M. Imbruglia and his wife, Diane of Philipsburg; two grandchildren, Matthew Imbruglia of Texas and Sarah Krulia and her husband, Rick of Weedville; and a great-grandson, Louie Richard Krulia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank A. Imbruglia on Oct. 26, 2008 and whom she wed Oct. 14, 1944 in Clearfield. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Alvera Carella, Frances Pavia and Mary A. Loddo and four brothers, James, Henry, Anthony and Columbus Lischerelli.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, at which point the procession will depart for the committal service at Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
With respect to Holy Week, the Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee Jr. as celebrant.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the St. Francis Educational Endowment Fund, 212 S. Front St., Clearfield.
