CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. has announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of March 25.

Shaw identified the fugitive as Dennis Horner, 56, of Spring Avenue, DuBois. Horner is wanted for failure to appear at ARD Court on Nov. 20, 2012.

On Nov. 7, 2011, Officer Randall L. Young of the DuBois City Police Department filed a criminal complaint, charging Horner with driving under the influence of alcohol, careless driving and general lighting requirements.

An affidavit of probable cause filed by Young states that on Oct. 31, 2011, while on routine patrol, officers observed a vehicle crossing the centerlines several times on South Brady Street in DuBois City. Officers also observed the vehicle cross into the opposite lane of travel when it turned onto Liberty Boulevard.

Upon making contact with the driver of the vehicle, Young detected signs of impairment and requested that Horner perform field sobriety tests. After administering the field sobriety tests, Horner was transported to the DuBois Regional Medical Center for blood testing.

A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Dec. 2, 2011, at which time all charges were held for court. On Nov. 20, 2012, Horner failed to appear for ARD Court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Horner is described as a Caucasian male who stands 5 feet, 6 inches tall. He has blue eyes and gray hair.

Anyone with knowledge of Horner’s location is asked to call Clearfield County Crime Stoppers at 800-376-4700. All calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential.
