- A 40-year-old Philipsburg woman was arrested Wednesday during a warrant service on another individual at a Hill Street residence in Chester Hill Borough. While apprehending the other individual, a glass smoking pipe was observed in plain view in a bedroom, which belonged to the woman. Charges will be filed through the district court.
- On Wednesday, state police recovered a silver knife lying on the sidewalk in front of the Little Restaurant on North Front Street in Philipsburg Borough. Anyone with information regarding its owner is asked to contact the Philipsburg-based state police at 814-342-3370.
- An incident of DUI occurred Saturday along Route 220 in Snyder Township, where a 25-year-old Tyrone man was stopped for several traffic violations. The investigation revealed that he was driving under the influence of alcohol. Charges of DUI have been filed through the district court.
- No injuries were reported following a single-vehicle accident that occurred at 6 p.m. Monday on Interstate 99 in Worth Township. David E. Teats, 41, of Karthaus was traveling northbound on a snow/slush-covered roadway when he lost control of his vehicle. It spun off the roadway and its left rear struck the guiderail along the east berm. Teats was able to bring his vehicle to a stop along the east berm a short distance north of the accident. Teats was wearing his seatbelt; he was not injured. He’ll be cited for the accident.
