Catherine Belin Jones, 92, of Philipsburg and formerly of Lanse died Sunday, March 10, 2013 at the Windy Hill Village. Born April 18, 1920 in Lanse, she was the daughter of the late Axel and Hannah Johnson Belin.
She was a life-long member of the Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lanse. She was a 1939 graduate of the Cooper Township High School.
She was married to Raymond S. Jones on March 15, 1947 at the St. John Lutheran Church, Clearfield. He preceded her in death March 26, 2008.
Mrs. Jones is survived by a daughter, Nancy Little and her husband, Cyril “Sonny” of Tyrone, a granddaughter, Lisa Hynd Fulginiti of Lancaster, a great-grandson, Derek Fulginiti and his wife, Soriam of Denver and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence and two sisters, Edith Barger and Irene Wolfe. She was the last member of her generation.
A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday at the Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lanse with the Rev. Matthew Finney officiating. Burial will be in the Grassflat-Lanse Lutheran Cemetery, Grassflat.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the church.
