No injuries were reported after a single-vehicle accident at 3:25 p.m. Thursday along state Route 970 in Rush Township. Anthony R. Caprio Jr., 19, of Osceola Mills was traveling southbound when his vehicle crossed over the centerline into the northbound lane, where it exited the roadway and struck an embankment. The Caprio vehicle spun 180 degrees and came to a final rest on its side in the northbound lane. Both Caprio and his passenger, Jessica L. Lindstrom, 18, of Sandy Ridge were wearing their seatbelts; neither was injured. The Caprio vehicle was towed from the scene. State police were assisted by the Columbia Fire Company.
