Betina Nicklas, director of Veterans Affairs for Clearfield County, Sharon Hamilton, Coalport Center for Active Living (CAL) Center Manager, and Ginger Swanson, Kylertown Center for Active Living Center Manager, invite the public to a Veterans Benefit program.
Nicklas will speak about various benefits available to veterans and their spouses.
The program will be held at 12:30 p.m. March 13 at Coalport CAL and the same program will be held at 11 a.m. March 15 at Kylertown CAL.
Topics to be discussed include Aid-and-Attendance (cost-of-care), claims processes, health care and widow’s death pension. Veterans Affairs (VA) office additionally provides Information and Referral for veterans and their families.
There are no reservations needed for the program. However, those interested in having lunch at either center (lunch is served at 12 p.m.) are asked to call the day before to make a meal reservation. Any Clearfield County individual 60 years of age or older may contribute to the cost of the meal on a donation basis. The cost to those under age 60 is $3.50.
