Homer W. Neeper, 89, of Curwensville died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013 at the Ridgeview Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.
He was born Aug. 7, 1923 in Kerrmoor, a son of the late Howard and Elizabeth Irene (Horn) Neeper. Mr. Neeper served in the U.S. Army during World War II with Company A, 207th Engineering Corps. He was honorably discharged after experiencing an accident during his service.
He was Christian by faith.
He is survived by his son, Homer Neeper Jr. of Curwensville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred L. (Wise) Neeper on June 5, 1990 and whom he wed Jan. 8, 1948 in Curwensville. He was also preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters, Robert Neeper, Truman Neeper, Kenneth Neeper, Sara Dodson, Harry Neeper, Isabell Whisman and Dove Neeper.
Funeral services were private. Burial was in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Salvation Army, 119 Byers St., Clearfield, the Curwensville Rescue Hose and Ladder Company, 410 Filbert St., Curwensville or to Ridgeview Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center, Activities Fund, 30 Fourth Ave. Curwensville.
