Dorthalene M. Snedden, 78, of DuBois died Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.
Born Feb. 13, 1935 in Brockway, she was the daughter of the late Plum and Annabelle (Pierce) Dunlap. She was married to Donald L. Snedden. He survives.
She was a graduate of the Sandy High School in the class of 1953. She retired from McDowell Manufacturing after 20 years of service. Prior to that, she had worked at Sylvania in Reynoldsville for many years.
She was a member of the Gospel Center in Reynoldsville, and was a volunteer at the DuBois Nursing Home.
She was an avid collector of Hummel’s, Precious Moments, Andris Art Work, and Anna Lee Dolls. She also enjoyed painting ceramics.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and one brother, Willard Dunlap and his wife, Ruth of DuBois and four sisters, Grace Weber of DuBois, Etha Benner of Pittsburgh, Jean Bowersox of Richmond, VA and June Sturniolo of State College.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Lester Dunlap and a sister, Adeline DePello.
There will be no public visitation and funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Memorials may be placed with the DuBois Nursing Home, 200 S. Eighth St., DuBois, PA 15801, and or the charity of the donor’s choice.
