Catherine (Mohnal) Levy, 92, of Fairview, NJ and formerly of Madera, died at Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013 at Englewood Hospital, Englewood, NJ.
She was born April 11, 1920 at Madera, a daughter of the late John and Fenia (Mandrik) Mohnal.
In September of 1947 in New York City, she wed Bernard Levy. She worked as a clerk typist at the Traveler’s Insurance Co., New York, NY for 24 years.
She’s survived by two daughters, Janet Mandrik of Fairview, NJ and Barbara
Miller of Haledon, NJ; two grandchildren, Jason Lucas Miller of Clifton, NJ and Heather Dawn Miller of Knoxville, TN and two great-grandchildren Braden Drew Miller and Alexa Shea Miller.
She’s also survived by a sister, Helen Smolen of Strongsville, OH; three brothers, Nick Mohnal of Huntingdon, Frank Mohnal and his wife, Julie of Philipsburg and Joseph Mohnal of Clearfield; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband who died Feb. 20, 2010; two sisters, Annie Tutko and Evelyn LaBar; and three brothers, George Mohnal, Wasco Mohnal and Mike Mohnal.
Friends will be received from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Tuesday at Kruise Funeral Homes Inc., Madera.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Fr. David Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Orthodox Cemetery, Madera.
