CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. has announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of February 25.

Shaw identified the fugitive as Cory Scott Eminhizer, 32, of Grassflat Avenue, Grassflat. Eminhizer is wanted in two separate cases for failure to appear at criminal call on Jan. 3.

On July 24, 2012, Trooper Craig Needham of the Pennsylvania State Police, Punxsutawney Barracks, filed a criminal complaint, charging Eminhizer with possession with the intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance, criminal use of a communication facility and possession of a controlled substance.

An affidavit of probable cause filed by Needham states that on Nov. 7, 2011, an undercover police officer purchased $60 worth of marijuana from Eminhizer in the parking lot of a business in Morris Township. The affidavit further states that the sale of the marijuana was arranged utilizing a confidential informant.

A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Sept. 5, 2012, at which time all charges were held for court.

In a separate case, Trooper Douglas Mihalko of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield barracks, filed a criminal complaint on July 19, 2012, charging Eminhizer with receiving stolen property.

An affidavit of probable cause filed by Mihalko states that in July of 2012, the Pennsylvania State Police began an investigation into the theft of merchandise from a business in Morris Township. Upon further investigation it was found that Eminhizer and two other individuals had possession of the stolen items. The stolen items were valued at approximately $1,000.

A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Aug. 22, 2012, at which time all charges were held for court. On Jan. 3, Eminhizer failed to appear for both cases for criminal call and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Eminhizer is described as a Caucasian male who stands 6 feet, 1 inch tall. He has blue eyes and brown hair.
