Leah L. Albright, 98, of Houtzdale died Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 at the Clearfield Hospital. Born May 25, 1914 in Brisbin, she’s the daughter of William and Lucinda Mae Kephart Atkins.
She was employed as a seamstress for the former Viceroy Clothing Factory of Philipsburg until her retirement.
She was married to Earl Albright, who preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 1978.
Surviving are a son, Joseph Albright and his wife, Aleen of Warren and two daughters, Bonnie Albright and Debbie Miller and her husband, David of Houtzdale.
Surviving are 12 grandchildren, Robin Mandel, Heather Evans, Buffy Dunlap, Cory Albright, Jamie Miller, Tonya Jarrett, Robert Miller, Joseph Wilks, Sandra Wilks, Pam Reams, Greg Albright and William Albright; 23 great-grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters, Catherine Jean Hutchinson and Betty Saupp of Houtzdale and a brother, James Atkins of Jamestown, NY and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, William, four sisters and three brothers.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., with the Rev. Robert Ford officiating. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F Cemetery, Brisbin.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
